How we built this list
We pulled every 2026 CPSC recall with "teether," "teething" or "teeth" in the title as of October 24, 2026. Units, incidents and remedies are quoted from each notice; prices are removed. One notice's hazard field in CPSC's database contained unrelated text, so we describe hazards from the notice titles and summaries.
Why pull-string teethers are being recalled
A pull-string teether is a silicone shape with soft silicone cords that a baby pulls and chews. In the 2026 notices, CPSC says the recalled versions violate the mandatory standard for toys because the strings are smaller and longer than permitted, so they can reach the back of the throat and become lodged, causing respiratory distress or choking (CPSC). Several were sold through Amazon, Temu or SHEIN storefronts. Not every pull-string toy is recalled, but the pattern is worth knowing: check any you own against the table.
